“Writing letters to the deceased is a special form of rhetoric, so capacious that it allows to ask questions and make polemical judgments; it can take the form of an essay or a confession, a serious lecture or a light joke. The informal language of such a from frees it from the narrow confines of scholarship, thanks to which communicating views and sharing information acquires the features of an intimate story, sometimes embellished with anecdotes that do not fit into the formula of a scientific article or even an essay.
